West Security was established 19 years ago as a small security operation in Mwanza, Tanzania.  In those days only residential security was offered with a maximum of 15 assignments employing 30 guards including the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) which had contracted WSS to guard their UNHCR facilities within the Tanzania Borders.

Today, West Security is among the top security company with branches throughout Tanzania, providing security to over 250 clients and employing over 3000 guards.

A variety of physical and state of the art electronic security services are now offered to residential, industrial and government assignments. The success behind the company’s large growth lies in three areas; Strong management, effective training, and listening closely to what the customer wants. While many companies attempt to provide the three, only WSS successfully continues to provide all three goals.
