Meatco is a meat processing and marketing entity. We serve niche markets locally and internationally with premium quality products that are traceable from the farm all the way to the fork. Our farmers are mainly engaged in extensive livestock farming practices that lend unique characteristics to our end-product. Farming conditions in Namibia are natural, with no hormones or routine antibiotics allowed in animal production.
At Meatco, we have some of the strictest food quality and safety processes in the world to cater for our discerning customers globally. In recent years Meatco has also started to integrate backwards into the value chain to produce our own slaughter-ready livestock and to ensure consistency of supply. We find ourselves in the unique position of not having any owners or shareholders.
We believe it is in the best interest of a sustainable cattle industry that producers receive the best possible prices.
