Basco Products Kenya Ltd., better known as 'Basco Paints' has over the last 32 years grown into a leading paint manufacturing company in East Africa.

 

From humble beginnings in 1976, the family-owned enterprise continues to set higher performance standards in the Industry, winning accolades as a respectable name in the manufacturing and distribution of quality paints in Kenya.

To ensure quick and reliable delivery of products, Basco has established a formidable distribution network through out the East and Central African region, with stockists dotted in virtually every town in those countries.

 

 

 

1989 - Acquires its First Alkyd Resins Manufacturing Plant

 

1991 - Started their First Metal Cans Manufacturing Plant

 

1992 - Invests in a PVA Resins Manufacturing Plant

 

1993 - Set up of headquarters at a custom built factory, over a 5 acre plot in Embakasi -

 

Airport north road, Nairobi

 

1994 - 2nd Alkyd Resin Manufacturing Plant

 

1995 - Installed a Sheet metal printing and coating plant.

 

1997    Launched a major expansion plan

 

of their factory

 

1998 - Significant investment in the launch and introduction of their DURACOAT range of

 

paints into the premium sector market

 

1999 - Launches the PAT'S DECO Range of specialized finishes for Interiors from Quadra industries of France

 

2000 - Introduction of Real Roc textured coatings from Denbas of Turkey

 

2001 - Additional cans line

 

2002 – Coastal Paints Centre in Mombasa

 

2003- Launch of the Automated Computerized Tinting System with the

 

'Duracoat Colour Mania' Concept.
