Mikalile Trading Limited started business in the year 2000. The main business was supplying electronic goods, furniture, shoes, baby gifts and general merchandise to different shop owners on the Copperbelt, Kabwe and Lusaka. We import home furniture, office furniture and equipments, electronic goods, kitchen ware, baby gifts and many more from around the world. We deal directly with the manufactures from South America, Middle East, Indonesia, Malaysia, China, Thailand and South Korea which makes our prices very competitive. The company provides quality but affordable goods. Ownership: Mikalile Trading Limited is a wholly owned Zambian company. The company has permanent work force of fifty people. Our vision is to open more outlets and widen the range of product and be the leading suppliers of quality goods as required by our consumers: Diversify our business into manufacturing and real estate, Hospitality industry like Hotels. In 2005 we extended our branches by opening one in Livingstone. In 2006,we opened the sister company " Mika lodge limited" which is also a success and is doing very well currently. Date of incorporation: The company was incorporated in 2006 under the company registration number 61724; its head office is currently at plot 2A Cairo road Lusaka. In the year 2006 the company opened two outlets in Kitwe and Chipata. With our steady expansion we opened a bigger furniture shop in Lusaka in 2007. In 2009 we opened two more big furniture shops along Freedom way and Northmead. In 2010 we opened another sister company Mika Hotel limited. Business outlets: currently we are operating a chain of shops numbering seven. Four of which are in Lusaka, while Chipata, Kitwe and Livingstone each has one outlet.

Planter's Lodge is set in six acres of beautifully landscaped gardens. The Takoradi Golf Course (which overlooks the Atlantic Ocean) is a few minutes walk away and arrangements have been made so our guests can have a round of golf at their leisure, likewise a gym (this is a few minutes walk away), which our guests can also use. The British air force built Planter's Lodge for their flying officers in 1934 in Takoradi, in the Western Region of Ghana. It was later sold to a British company who used it as a hotel. Takoradi was the only harbour at that time in Ghana and British Overseas Airways Corporation had just a few flights from the capital, Accra, so almost anyone who travelled outside Ghana came to Takoradi to take the Elder Dempster vessels to Europe. A lot of people, children going to school, local business men and expatriates going on leave all stayed at the hotel and to this day, people still come to the hotel and reminisce about their journey by sea. A great part of the hotel has presently been restored. Even though Planter's Lodge is an African colonial fusion concept, the colonial buildings have been maintained and the 'new' addition is the swimming pool and the Bamboo Conservatory Bar.
