When chemlog started its operation officially in mainly the manufacture and sales of liquid and powder detergents in 1983, we had just five workers including staff production and sales. All of them have put hands in hands in each section of the plant. We were having only one production for household and five for industrial purposes. We had one van to service all over the island. At the time we were the third company involved in this risky and exciting business. Shops were reluctant to buy our products. The managing director, who opened the business (having knowledge and expertise in detergents, laundry soaps and toilet soaps) has to be on the road to market our products.

Mauvilac Chemicals Ltd is the sole agent of BASF ( Germany ) and Everylight Chemical Industrial Corporation which supplies auxiliary chemicals and dyes respectively to the textile industry. Furthermore, the company markets chemicals, plastic, pigments and dispersions to the local industries and in the Indian Ocean Islands .
