Ebenisterie D'art Limited (EDL) Was founded by Saminaden Armoogum in 1978 in a small workshop at Quartier Militaire. Today EDL is a modern workshop equiped with latest technology equipments woodworking. We-have our inhouse wood drying kiln facilities using the dehumidifying system. Ebenisterie D'Art Ltd. is a company specializing in the manufacture of solid wood furniture. Its founder, Mr Saminaden Armoogum, with over 45 years of experience in the trade, is now a specialist in the manufacture of solid wood furniture and also wood carving. In the 70s, Mr Armoogum launched his own company with some essential tools and gradually thanks to his talent, courage, and perseverance, he won the trust of many customers. Over the years, it innovates by implementing new furniture manufacturing technology, and he does not hesitate to invest in sophisticated industrial machines to have better finishes. At EDL, quality comes first. Mr Armoogum gained a lot of knowledge in the field by continually researching and learning the different manufacturing techniques throughout his career. Today, he uses all this knowledge and this experience in the manufacture of furniture. It thus offers its customers high-end furniture has a competitive price. In the 90s, on EDL puts up its own wood drying system.The principle of sechoire is to accelerate the evaporation of water by heating the wood. The humidity and temperature are carefully controlled during drying to ensure éfficace drying and get quality wood. Ebenistrie D'Art Ltd. is among the few companies that has this facility in Mauritius. Thanks to this advanced technology and sophisticated equipment, we can meet the delivery times while maintaining quality of the highest level, and ensuring the satisfaction of our customers.

We import on a wholesale and retail basis to such an extent that for some resellers we are the exclusive link for a specific furniture brand. For our retail trade, we also offer ordering facilities to our customer enabling them to order a particular model from our catalogue according to their preference.Further to that a structured Hire Purchase system is also offered to customers wishing to pay by monthly instalments.
