Ominco is one of the largest trading house in the Horn of Africa. Being active for more than 30 years in the trading of foodstuff, Ominco has 14 branches all over the horn of Africa with more than 300 employees.  Ominco is well known for its strong ethical business practices, allowing us to gain the trust and respect of our clients. Over the last 30 years, not only Ominco had always been able to supply his broad range of products but had also constantly enlarged its offer. Since 1974, it has been Ominco's true obsession, to always provide our clients with the best value for money deals, by building, all over the world, strong long term partnerships with our suppliers.

We principally have been in the domain of Agro-Produce. We have played a major role in the popularisation of the export of agro-produce and have stressed on diversification of exports from the traditional Peanuts to important cash crops like Cashewnuts, Sesame and Hibiscus. We continue to explore marginal local crops with export potential. We have ventured into other business areas and currently are concentrating on Simple SOLAR Solutions for Africa. We have taken up the distrbution of INTELIZONs products for Africa.   ComAfrique is a Limited Company registered with the Gambia Chamber of Commerce & Industry since 2001. We believe that self sufficiency is attainable through honest & dedicated work. Agro-produce and their sensible exploitation are the key to independence from insensible imports and are the key to the eradication of un-employment – and thus to economic independence.    A fusion between the development sector and the commercial sector is the ideal way forward and ComAfrique have shown that cohesion between the two can yield sustainable results in the right direction. Comafrique have also a vision that renewable sources of energy are key to the future.    We are thus looking at a Green planet through Agriculture as well as the extensive use of renewable sources of Energy. Established since 1958 in The Gambia, Chellarams import and distribute Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG). Our customers include hotels, bars, restaurants, supermarkets, convenience stores as well as the general trade. We are full-service providers of dry, chilled and frozen foods, beverages personal care and household goods. We pride ourselves on the depth of our distribution and our sales teams have nationwide coverage for our product range. We work with international partners to develop and grow brands with a long-term focus. We have a range of our own private label brands in mass-market products and also work with many supplier brands. As distribution agents for multi-national partners such as Coca-Cola, Imperial Tobacco and Kelloggs among others, we continue to develop a complimentary portfolio of products to service The Gambia's FMCG needs.

The Gambia Horticultural Enterprises (GHE) was established in October 1990 as a Sole Proprietorship. It is the Gambia's largest dealer / distributor of farm and garden inputs such as seeds, fertilizer, pesticides, garden tools / equipment, etc. It provides a one-stop-shop for the needs of the farming community. Other activities include the growing and marketing of fresh fruits and vegetables in the local and export markets in Europe thus, providing valuable market outlets for agricultural producers. It also provides professional Pest Control Services as well as Consultancy in Horticulture and Agribusiness. The business has experienced steady growth and success since its establishment, mainly due to its long-standing experience of the horticultural sub-sector, support from banks, notably Trust Bank Ltd., business partners abroad and the dedication, innovativeness and hard work of its young, dynamic staff. The company has a management and field staff of over 70 employees and growing. In almost 20 years GHE grew from a small office in the Proprietor's home to a large company located on the main Banjul, Serrekunda Highway. In addition, the company's growing business activities have enabled it to acquire farmlands totalling over 100 hectares, and start a Food Processing Center. Proprietor and Managing Director, Momodou A. Ceesay, studied both in Australia (Dip.App.Sci.; B. App.Sci. Hort) and New Zealand (M.Hort.Sci). He is very knowledgeable in all aspects of horticulture and agribusiness. Mr. Ceesay actively participates in many organisations and associations both locally and internationally. GHE is a Government Registered Vendor and can bid in governmental and NGO tenders. Mr Ceesay has been awarded the Medal of the National Honour of The Republic of The Gambia (RGM) in May 2009 during an investiture at State House by the President of The Gambia for his contribution to the development of agriculture in The Gambia.
