The company currently owns more than 100 hectares of fertile land in which it grows sweet potatoes (Ogan-segan), hybrid maize, seed potatoes, paprika, green beans and other fruits and vegetables for both local market and export. Our farms use the state of the art dripping technology which is not only enviromentally safe by preventing waste of water but also cost effective to distribute pesticides and necessary minerals throughout the farm. There are around 300 employees within Awassa and Addis Ababa that work in the farm and on both offices. The company also owns a research center in Wondo-Genet and a recreational garden in Awassa city where you can find different varieties of flowers and fruits.  Awassa Green Wood PLC is mainly engaged in production of improved hybrid maize, seed potatoes and sweet potato vines, Raising of tree seedlings, fruit tree seedlings & floricultural products for commercial market, Agricultural machinary and farm implements supply, animal farm and landscape design. Awassa Greenwood PLC is one of the leading in its industry by exporting different crops and plants to its customers around the world. The company was established by Ato Tadesse Belay in 1995, with its head quarter located in Awassa (275 Kms south of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia). Meatco is Namibia's biggest exporter of prime beef, taking up 80 percent of the local export market. The Company slaughters approximately 120 000 cattle every year and produces more than 27 000 tons of beef annually. It also produces approximately 250 000 wet blue hides and 14 million canned food products every year. All Meatco's abattoirs are HACCP and ISO 9001 accredited and have South African export status. The abattoirs south of the Veterinary Cordon Fence in Windhoek and Okahandja also have European Union export status. Meatco's biggest clients currently are South Africa, the United Kingdom and Norway, although we have penetrated various other European and non-European markets including Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Czechoslovakia, China and Dubai. The Meat Corporation of Namibia was consolidated in the early 1980's from various competing abattoirs and has grown into a strong and well established company since.  Locally it is recognised as the cornerstone of the Namibian beef industry. Capwell Industries Limited is a Rice and Maize Milling company based in Thika town. Capwell Industries Limited offer a wide variety of Rice brands to its Kenyan consumer. Its flagship brand is ³Pearl² rice. pearl Rice offers a product which is ³100% Kenyan, 100% Pishori and 100% Quality². Other brands produced are CIL Pishori, CIL Brown Rice, Golden Harvest, Ranee Rice and CIL Sindano Rice all procured from the rich soils of Mwea in Mount Kenya. It thrives to set the highest standards to ensure the products are hygienic, clean and free of impurities. In maize meal, its brands are ³SOKO² which is available in various packages i.e. from 1kg to 90kg, and ³PENDANA², a fortified maizemeal with vitamins and iron.They are well established brands available at most retail outlets in Central Province and parts of Nairobi.
