The cosmetics market in the Middle East and Africa is rapidly developing due to economic and population growth and rising disposable incomes. Additionally, according to recent reports, sales of skin care products in Africa and the Middle East is growing at an estimated 12% CAGR in comparison to the 7% enjoyed in the global skin care market.
Organised by German exhibition company Epoc Messe Frankfurt, the annual trade exhibition for beauty products, hair, fragrances and well being in the Middle East provides the ideal platform to embrace these growing trends and reach new markets. Beautyworld Middle East, taking place in 2017 from May 14 to 16, has gained in popularity with a marked increase in African business participation.
The next edition of Beautyworld Middle East will take place in Dubai. In recent years the trade fair has enjoyed a substantial increase in exhibitor numbers and an increase in visitor numbers.
Helping to drive this growth is the regional marketplace which is also registering significant growth and development. Recent estimates by Euromonitor International the colour cosmetics industry alone to have reached US$2.3 million in 2014, with Algeria, Egypt and Morocco 
amongst the African countries leading the way. Similarly, the premium fragrances market is estimated to be worth US$2.3 billion in 2014.
