Vredestein-Amtel
(Netherland-Russian tyre manufacturer Group) is
a privately owned manufacturing enterprise founded in
1990. The company is one of the three largest tyre makers
in Russia, and also produces materials and components
for
petrochemical
manufacturing. Vredestein-Amtel employs over 30,000 people
at six manufacturing complexes in Russia and Europe and
has its own research and development centre and direct
raw materials sources. The company's products are sold
throughout Russia and the CIS, Europe, USA, Canada,the
Middle East and Africa.
Vredestein-Amtel owns and operates five factories, which
collectively manufacture a wide range of tyres for cars,
trucks, motorcycles, bicycles, aviation and agriculture.
After the completion of new production lines and facilities
in 2005, AMTEL's overall tyre production capacity will
be 18.5 million units annually. By 2006, annual production
of higher quality tyres is expected to increase to 2.2
million units.
Vredestein-Amtel is continuously updating its production
lines
and product offerings. In 2004 the AMTEL-PLANET line of
high-speed summer tyres and NordMaster line of winter
tyres were introduced. Their advanced design and use of
new technology and materials puts these brands on the
same level as tyres produced by better-known industry
heavyweights.
The company's high production standards are confirmed
by its
TUV
Certification, the highest level of ISO 9001:2000. AMTEL
products also received high marks at the "Best Car
Tyre on Russian Roads" competition in 2002, 2003,
2004 and 2005.
Vredestein-Amtel meets international product quality standards.
In 2003 the company received ISO 9001-2000 certification,
which measures not just end-product quality but looks
at the overall manufacturing process.
Vredestein-Amtel exercises quality control at each stage
of the manufacturing process, from imposing strict requirements
on raw materials suppliers to testing and rating finished
products. Quality control policy holds every employee
responsible for the quality of work at his/her stage of
production.
Due
to
modern technologies, design and high quality of materials,
Amtel tyres can resist any weather conditions thereby
providing enhanced performance and safety.
Amtel Planet tyres are of international standards Mark
E-22 as well as -A Mark and are renowned for their superior
performance and long life.
Amtel has now opened a regional office in Dubai covering
the Middle East and African markets. Amtel is looking
to promote and distribute tyres into this region extensively
by setting up deals with agencies and distributors.
The company is seeking agents and distributors for its
tyres in African countries.
